It's quit snowing but it's still cold here.
Spending time figuring out what to do about Christmas gifts. I told everyone, last year, that I was pinching all my pennies in my plan to full-time RV. Last year I gave everyone fudge!! It was yummy. What to do, on the cheap, this year. I'm leaning towards choc chip cookies. Who doesn't love choc chip cookies? I just have to find some sort of mixer to buy/borrow and a way to get cheap cookie sheets/cooling racks. I'll work on it.
Hope all is well in Blogland. Take care and be gentle with each other.
- Blogland to keep me feeling connected
- RV full-time dream to keep me focused
- Crazy dogs that keep me grounded.
- Hot chocolate on sale, to put in my morning coffee
- Warm house

Actually, I don't care for chocolate chip cookies, I do however like oatmeal raisin cookies...just FYI...lol
good note. So, I'll make both choc chip and oatmeal raisin. Any other suggestions? comments? Do I have everyone covered?
Can I send you my snail mail address? Cookies sound yummy.
Another fun gift might be jigsaw puzzles. They are not expensive and it would be fun to pick out jus the right one for each person on your list.
Just a thought.
Maybe Goodwill or Salvation Army would be a good place to find what you need for your baking. If you were closer I'd give you what I have because I'm not using it. I agree with Andy...oatmeal raisin. I think I'd be inclined to try adding cranberries to the mix.

I have a recipe for hot chocolate mix. It makes 17 cups of mix. I've given it as gifts before. you can add tiny marshmallows to it too.
I vote for a second year of fudge. Making fudge is kind of expensive, though. Cookies would cost less to make and everyone loves cookies. How about chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies. Mix it up.
I hope you find a job soon - it's tough out there, but you have a great skill that will work for you. Keep your spirits up and enjoy the time off while you can.
I have "Plants vs. Zombies" and I love that stupid game. You and the fur gang have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Cookies are a good idea...so are coupon books for those close by. I suggest Goodwill or other second hand stores to find cookie sheets. Doesn't matter what they look like, buy parchment paper and use on top....makes clean up easy.
Don't remember what part of the country you are in...at PeaceHealth in Whatcom County, WA they are hiring RN's.
Have you tried craigslist or backpage.com (they are like craigslist) and have job listings all over the US
Happy Thanksgiving...hope you had a good day.
